In terms of total investment, after 2013, China became the country with the largest investment in new energy. In 2017, China reached 140 billion US dollars, while Europe and the United States were 49 billion and 48 billion US dollars respectively in the same year, from the perspective of investment intensity, China > Europe > America. China's investment intensity has stayed ahead after 2012, often accounting for more than 0.6% of GDP, with the highest level ranging from 0.9% to 1.2%. The investment intensity in Europe remained at about 0.35% after 2013 and reached a record high of nearly 0.7%. The intensity of new energy investment in the United States has remained at about 0.25% in the past decade.
